Hey all! Can you believe that we are almost done with March?! I need to step up my green beauty posts so this week you will get two Juice Beauty reviews! 🙂 Today, I am talking about the Phyto-Pigments Luminous Lip Crayon in the shade “Malibu” that I mentioned (and am wearing) in my Juice Beauty Haul video here.
Whenever I test a new lip product, I consider six main things:
- What does it smell like?
- What is the texture like?
- How does it apply?
- How long does it last?
- How wearable is the color?
- What ingredients are in it?
So, it only seems appropriate that I address the answers to my own questions with you all, too! To start off, the Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Luminous Lip Crayon does NOT have a scent, or a taste, to it. In fact, I would say that it almost smells waxy or like children’s makeup. I was sort of expecting it to have some sort of floraly or fruity taste being that it is plant-derived, but it does not. This isn’t a deal-breaker for me, but for some it might be.
The texture is also waxy-like but once applied it actually becomes thin and creamy, which I love. It can be applied lightly, almost like a lip balm, or heavily to resemble a lipstick. It’s definitely not long lasting and the shade Malibu at least does not stain either. This is a lip product that you will certainly have to reapply throughout the day after you eat or drink. I personally love the shade Malibu but they do come in a few other shades too if this lighter pink doesn’t suit you.
My final question is, what kind of ingredients are in the lip product I am testing out? Now that I am becoming more conscious about my beauty products, it is important to me that the ingredients are as clean as possible! Luckily, Juice Beauty is an organic green beauty brand so the Phyto-Pigments Luminous Lip Crayon is very clean! Here’s what is inside:
Overall, I’m a big fan of the Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Luminous Lip Crayon! I would love to test out more colors in this formula as they all look very pretty. I’m a big fan of hydrating lip products and this certainly is one of those. For lighter makeup days, this makes me feel fresh and glowing! Have you tried this product out before? If not, which shade would you choose to try?
Thank you for reading and stay tuned for another green beauty review on Thursday this week! <3
