Trufora Skincare Review

Trufora Skincare Review

Some of you may have heard me buzz about this new skincare company that I have been testing out called Trufora, well, I felt it was a good time that I give you my honest review on the products I have been using for the past 3 weeks. A lovely rep offered to send me a few products for review and informed me of their #truself campaign going on now. It’s an awesome movement to help everyone feel comfortable and proud in their own skin, something I am all about! She consulted with me about my skin and what routine I felt would be best for me, which I ultimately concluded was a nighttime one. Luckily, all of the products in the nighttime routine could coincide with my current Paula’s Choice acne-fighting skincare routine which made me really happy. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Trufora products and test them out!

First off, let’s talk about the packaging. These cute babies arrived to me in a nice white Trufora box that was packed tight and secure. Each individual product was wrapped in a nice cardboard packaging with the classic Trufora labeling. I personally love the shape, size, and colors of all of these! I think it provides the perfect amount of product that will last you a good month or two if used daily. The hot pink coloring definitely stood out to me and I think these are just so pretty that I love leaving them out on the counter for display! The Trufora logo is very unique: a fingerprint. I believe it stands for the unique composition of ingredients that goes into each product and the company promises that they are truly one of a kind. The CEO of Trufora previously worked at top skincare companies so she really knows her stuff and knew exactly what she wanted to put into her own line. Each product is carefully thought-out, fragrance-free, totally vegan, & cruelty-free!

My nighttime package included:

Triple Action Exfoliator: This can be used night or day but I prefer to use it at night when I am in the shower and only once a week. It is a bit harsh but it really gets the job done. I can definitely tell there is a clay base to the exfoliator from the way that it smells and it is rather thick. I can use just a pea sized amount to cover my entire face which is awesome! After use, my pores are extremely cleaned out and my skin feels SUPER soft. This is definitely my favorite product out of all three that I tried because of how well it works. It can also be used as a mask, which I LOVE! I let it sit on my skin for a few minutes for a deeper clean. With just one use a week, I can tell that my skin is getting smoother and my pores are becoming smaller. This is definitely my new go-to exfoliator and I highly recommend trying this product out!

Night Serum 85: Another favorite of mine, this is more like a cream rather than a serum. It comes out light and not sticky or gooey at all. I use this at night after I have exfoliated and washed my face and right before I use my Paula’s Choice acne cream. After a few weeks use, I can definitely see improvement in fine lines on my face as well as brightness. It has helped repair the sun-damaged areas on my face and dark spots. This also doesn’t irritate my skin at all, something I was really worried about, so I am thrilled to have found this serum! I can only imagine how amazing my skin will look after months of using this product.

Intensive Night Treatment: I have tried several moisturizers in my time since going cruelty-free and only a handful really have worked for me. Some are either too thin and greasy while others are too thick and heavy on my face. This moisturizer falls somewhere in the middle though. It’s thicker than I am used to but it does thin out as you apply. I wouldn’t use this daily as it is a bit TOO moisturizing for my oily skin but it’s the perfect option for dry days or the Winter. An intensive treatment is definitely the appropriate title! The first thing I thought of when I smelled and used it for the first time was the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion that everyone seems to love. I used to use it too so I know exactly what it is like and this is the PERFECT vegan & cruelty-free dupe for that. So, if you are someone who can’t live without your Clinique moisturizer, well now there is no excuse! I have heard a ton of people ask for a dupe for that and I really think you will enjoy this product if you are looking for something similar.

Overall, I am so happy to have had the opportunity to test out these products and spread the word about Trufora! I love everything this company stands for and their products really are very well crafted. I can especially see the exfoliator becoming a fan-favorite! I also love that each of these products when used together, enhance each other. So with regular use of all of them, you are guaranteed to see amazing results. I think it is awesome how gentle all of these products are too. I have super sensitive skin that breaks out easily and I haven’t had any skin irritations at all while using this nighttime regimen. I am looking forward to seeing what else Trufora has to offer as I know that they have an array of different products. Be sure to check out their website to see what routine would work for you!
