Vegan Cuts December Beauty Box Review

Vegan Cuts December Beauty Box Review

Eeek only a few days left of 2015 and I want to make sure I get all of my special posts in before it ends! Today I am writing my initial thoughts on the Vegan Cuts December Beauty Box. 🙂 Not familiar with Vegan Cuts? Refer back to my post here to find out more! To make things short and sweet: THEY ARE AWESOME! If there is one thing I am so I happy I did this year, aside from starting this blog, it would have to be signing up for the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box monthly subscription. I was introduced to SO many new cruelty-free beauty brands through them and found a ton of products that I absolutely love. The December box was just as amazing as the other past few boxes have been! I was especially excited about this box because it was completely curated by Leaping Bunny! If you’re not familiar with Leaping Bunny, they are a company that certifies product companies as truly cruelty-free, meaning that they make sure those companies do not condone to any animal testing during any stage of their product development. Leaping Bunny generously provides a detailed list of all of their certified cruelty-free companies on their website and they even have a pocket list that you can have mailed to you to keep on hand while you are shopping. I was so excited to see it included in the December Beauty Box!! Be sure to look out for their bunny symbol on products too to see if that company is certified by Leaping Bunny! All companies featured in the December Beauty Box are Leaping Bunny certified. 🙂 Keep reading to hear my initial thoughts on the products included in this month’s box.

Here’s what was inside:

Read my initial thoughts on each product below:

shadow

I’ve heard great things about Concrete Minerals but I haven’t actually tried any of their products out yet. I am excited to finally be able to try out one of their Pro Matte Eyeshadows but I must admit that I hateee loose pigments. I am just such a klutz with loose eyeshadows and I can totally see myself getting this EVERYWHERE. Nevertheless, I have discovered the joy of pressing pigments so I will have to add this one to the list. 🙂 ‘Bandit’ looks like such a pretty natural matte shade which is totally up my alley! Looking forward to giving it a spin!

crzyrum

Okay before I literally fill this entire page full of amazing things about Crazy Rumors, let me say that I definitely have tried and adored them before receiving this one in the December Beauty Box. I am SO excited to own yet another! I really think that this is hands down the BEST vegan lip balm I have ever used. It is soo creamy and moisturizing and delicious. I didn’t previously own the Cinnamon Bun flavor so I am really excited to add it to my collection. Right when I got the box I opened this baby up and immediately started using it. It smells and tastes just like a Cinnamon Bun.. which could be a dangerous thing. 😉 Highly recommend this brand if you are a lip balm junkie like me.

oil

I am slowly starting to enjoy cleansing oils more and I am really looking forward to giving this one from Demes Natural Products a go. I already use a makeup removing oil cleanser from S.W. Basics and love it. I know that oil cleansers really do wonders for the skin and remove makeup like a pro! Even though this looks like a small bottle, I can tell that one drop will go a long way. Looking forward to seeing what results this one may bring.

toothpaste

I always love receiving new vegan toothpastes to try out because I haven’t really explored many yet. I found one that I really like and so I’ve just stuck with it. I am really looking forward to using this Freshmint one from Auromère! It smells super yummy and has great reviews. I know that it is full of amazing ingredients too so that is a major plus. Now I have the perfect travel size which I always need! 🙂

blush

I think by this point it’s no secret that I am a fan of Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques. We received one of her eyeshadows in a previous Vegan Cuts box so I was really excited to see another product in the December Beauty Box! This time it is a pressed cheek colour, aka a blush. I started using this right when I received this box and woah baby. This is hella pigmented. I absolutely love it. I have been using it everyday since. It gives the PERFECT flush pink and if applied lightly, looks gorgeous. I would say that their website photo of this shade ‘Sweet Sixteen’ is definitely off. It is wayy more pink in person, just a heads up! I am so happy this is now in my makeup collection.

acuremask

Last, but never least, we received an Acure Organics product! Okay, so I’m pretty obsessed with this brand. I own pretty much everything they have.. except for this. It must be my lucky month because now I can finally say I do own it! I am waiting for the perfect night to test it out, you know, one of those nights you finally get to relax. If I know Acure like I think I do, I am sure I will fall in love. I’ll be sure to share my thoughts once I do!

Whew! That was a long one, thanks for sticking through if you’re still here! The Vegan Cuts December Beauty Box was pretty friggen awesome and the fact that it was curated by Leaping Bunny makes it that much cooler. I really like all of the products that were included in this month’s box and I am excited (how many times have I said that now?) to test them all out. If there are any you are particularly eager to hear my thoughts on, please let me know and I would be happy to share! As I reflect back on this year, I am really truly so happy I found Vegan Cuts. If you are considering a beauty box subscription for the new year, I highly recommend checking out the Beauty Box here. It would be a wonderful fresh start! 🙂

See you all in 2016! Happy New Year!!
