Looking for a new makeup primer? Look no further! Too Faced is known for their amazing makeup primers and is also a cruelty-free company with a lot of vegan options. Tons of beauty gurus will say that the Too Faced makeup primers are gold and pretty hard to compete with. I must say that I have to agree! If you don’t have oily skin, then check out their original Primed & Poreless Primer or their Hangover Primer. I tend to be more on the oily side of things, so when I first tried the original Primed & Poreless Primer I was very oily within a few hours. When I saw they had an oil-free/sensitive skin version called Primed & Poreless Pure Primer, I knew I had to give it a try!
In my opinion, no other primer can compete. I rarely hear much about this version of their Primed & Poreless Primer and I’m not sure why because this stuff is AMAZING. If you have oily skin, this is a must!! For those of you that are not sure what a primer is really for, it essentially sets the base for you to apply makeup flawlessly. It also blurs out any lines or pores so your face looks so smooth. I can instantly notice a difference in my skin when I put this on. It looks so much smoother, softer to the touch, and all pores/lines become invisible (I’m not kidding, trust me). I typically cleanse, tone, moisturize, and then apply this on top before makeup. I notice that my makeup goes on smoother and stays on longer throughout the day. The Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pure does not make me oily at all! This is a huge plus for me because before I would have to blot throughout the day and now I rarely have to. It also doesn’t make me breakout which is lovely.
The formula is very nice! It is like a thick gel/serum that spreads very well. It smells good, in my opinion, and doesn’t feel heavy on my face. It doesn’t have the besttt of ingredients and some may not like the feeling of silicone on their skin, but I don’t mind it. It is a pretty pricey item, but most products from Too Faced are. I feel that you are definitely getting what you pay for with any of their products and this one did not disappoint. The size is also pretty generous. I usually use about a pea-sized amount everyday so a 1oz tube will last me a while. When I had the original Primed & Poreless Primer, it lasted me months! I even cut the tube when the product no longer squeezed out and there was so much left inside that I was able to gain a few more weeks!
If you are afraid of committing $30 right off the bat, try a sample. 🙂 You can find this baby at Ulta, Sephora, and on the Too Faced website. Have you tried this primer before? Let me know down below!
