WOO! It’s Saturday and I’m feeling ALIVE baby! This review came highly requested so I am very excited to finally share my thoughts with you all on the NEW Pacifica Beauty Haircare! Before we begin, let me start off by saying that the entire Pacifica Haircare line is exclusive to Ulta stores and ulta.com ONLY at this time. Typically, Pacifica will add exclusive items to their website at a later date, but that has yet to happen with these products. The upside? You can use Ulta coupons on Pacifica products and they are almost always having a sale! 🙂 Here is what I grabbed:
I guess you could say I have a thing for conditioners huh? Haha Well, I am not one to try new shampoos since I do have scalp psoriasis and have found my HG shampoo already that you can read about here, so I decided to go for other hair products that I could use. Here are my thoughts on each product that I tried:
This Coconut Power Strong & Long Conditioner is friggin AMAZING. It is thick, creamy, and hella moisturizing! If you like coconut scented products, this will be your new best friend. You can just smell the juicy moisturizing agents inside like its a real coconut! It will make you want to smell your hair all day. This is now my go-to conditioner and I really do feel like it is strengthening my hair while also making it super silky and manageable. I was honestly really impressed with this product after the first try. I was almost expecting the Pacifica haircare products to be a little drying, I don’t even know why, but I was very wrong. This works just as well as any high-end brand conditioner does for me, but for a fraction of the cost. Very very pleased with this and if there is one product out of this whole review for you to try, it’s this one.
Hairvana is a leave-on conditioner that you apply after you towel dry your hair to make detangling a breeze. This also smells like coconuts but has a sweet passionfruit touch to it too. The consistency is definitely thinner than the Strong & Long Conditioner but a little bit goes a long way. And I recommend only using a little bit because it can make your hair a tad greasy if you use too much. I find that it is kind of hard to use with my super thick hair because my hair doesn’t seem to dry well with it in and then I end up having hair that looks like it has product in it which I don’t really dig. I haven’t tried blowdrying my hair right after using this yet so I’ll give that a go and let you know if my mind changes. For now I think I will only be using this product sparingly, like after beach & pool days. If you are someone that struggles with knots (especially kids) this would be great! It definitely does make brushing your hair a breeze.
The Coconut Super Power Deep Conditioning Damage Control Mask was one of the Pacifica Haircare products that I was most excited about! Since I have scalp psoriasis, I really wanted to try this on it and see if it would help bring the moisture back to my scalp at all. I used to use coconut oil on my scalp and it did help a bit before. The first time I used this hair mask, I ended up using half of the container. Note to self: long thick hair soaks up a TON of product. Soo my advice is that this product is best used solely for your hair and not your scalp. I mean hey, if you can get in there to your scalp and not use up half of the bottle then go for it, but if you’re like me and have a jungle for hair then maybe just focusing on the ends are best. 🙂 Now I haven’t used hair-dye or anything of that sort so I can’t say that it was really “damage control” for me but it DEFINITELY made my hair super soft and look very healthy. This is the PERFECT product for anyone needing to add moisture back to their hair. I applied it to dry hair before my shower, let it sit for 20 minutes, and then did my normal routine in the shower. Let it soak in a little longer if you need some extra TLC! 😉
The Dragon Tamer Invisible Anti-Frizz Serum was the only product that I grabbed that I wasn’t totally thrilled with. It is super runny so you have to be very careful with it otherwise the whole container will come out. I typically get frizz at the top of my head from my baby hairs so that’s where I tested out this product the most. It definitely helps with taming frizz but it does add a bit of greasiness so use it with a light hand. I absolutely LOVE the scent of this product. It smells just like candy! I think this would be amazing for people with dry hair that need some shine and softness back. The only flaw with this product is the consistency, I mean you can literally hear the product sloshing around if you shake it. If it was just a bit thicker, it would be perfect. I have yet to try this on wet hair or with a blowdryer so we’ll see how it works with that!
Well Conditioned was the other product that I was really excited about. I found it very intriguing when I read the description that it was a cleanser and a conditioner in one and yet wasn’t called “2-in-1.” It’s basically the same thing though. You can use this on your in-between shampoo days if you just can’t go without washing your hair, or skip your normal washing routine entirely and just stick to this. I will say that this is probably the most moisturizing out of them all and really makes your hair feel like silk. It is fruity scented and just absolutely heavenly. I use this about once a week in the shower instead of my normal shampoo and conditioner and it works really well! It also adds a ton of volume for those that are in need! 😉
That concludes all of the new Pacifica Haircare products that I have tried so far. There are a few other products that I still need to check out but these ones caught my eye first. I hope that my review helped you determine what your best fit is in this new line! I am really impressed with the quality of these products and it so amazing to know that you don’t have to sacrifice quality for cruelty-free and vegan items! Be sure to check out all of these new Pacifica products at your local Ulta or on ulta.com! Let me know what you think of each product once you have tried them! 🙂
Note: All products mentioned above were purchased and reviewed honestly by me.
