Vegan Cuts July Beauty Box

Vegan Cuts July Beauty Box

Hi friends! I’m sad to say that this was my last Vegan Cuts Beauty Box from the 3-month subscription I signed up for. Nevertheless, it was a great box and I am excited to dive right into it with you all! This time around I wanted to give an “initial thoughts” review, seeing as my box came late and I have only used these products once or twice. If you aren’t familiar with Vegan Cuts refer back to my first post here. It is an amazing subscription box service that introduces you to new products every month. 🙂

Let’s get right into it!

My initial thoughts:

The first thing that really stood out to me was the Pacifica Eye Shadow Trio. This is a new product that has yet to be released from Pacifica and I am so excited to be amongst the first people to try it! It truly is an amazing trio. I was hoping to receive the darker shades but I am actually very happy with this one now that I have played with it for a bit. Pacifica is launching a bunch of new products very soon.

As always, this brand is 100% vegan and cruelty-free and always has gorgeous products. The texture of this trio is a bit creamy and spreads very well ending off with a more matte finish. A fellow blogger suggested using this specific trio for a blush, bronze, and highlight too. I thought that was genius! You can see from my swatches that these are pretty pigmented with a bit of a sheen but can still be soft for a more natural makeup look. I can’t wait to use this product more and in different variables. Be on the lookout for the release of this trio soon!

When I saw the sneak peek of the Wonder Seed Hand Cream I was excited to see that it was lavender-scented. I love putting on lavender lotion before bed to relax as I fall asleep. So far I have used this twice and I have to say it has a very strong lavender scent, a little too heavy in my opinion, but it is still nice. It has some pretty awesome natural ingredients too. The consistency is very thin and oily that mattifies very quickly. This is a little strange to me because I am so used to thick creamy lotions. It does hydrate well but I feel this is something that will need to be consistently reapplied to get a full effect. It does look like this brand has some other awesome hemp products that I will check out!

I was excited to see so many new brands I have never heard of in this month’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box, with everclÄ“n being one of them! I have very sensitive skin and this whole brand is all about that. I have only used this once because my skin just started getting use to a new routine and I don’t want to throw that off-balance just yet. I decided to wash with this in the morning before applying moisturizer. The cleanser doesn’t have much of a fragrance and lathers up generously with a little amount of product. My skin felt soft and I did notice my pores were clearer. I am currently hooked on a certain cleanser so I won’t be switching to this anytime soon, but it will be great for any traveling I may do this year!

Well this is something totally new for me! I am not familiar with tooth powders but I hear they are great. I was excited/nervous to give Smart Ash a go. First off, it wasn’t THAT messy. I used it over my sink and maybe a few specks fell off but it wasn’t as messy as I thought it would be. I dipped a wet toothbrush in the jar and grabbed a bit of the product and then started to brush. The packaging said to brush for two minutes so I did just that and watched as my mouth turned black. It doesn’t have any kind of specific taste, which was a good thing for me. It also wasn’t gritty so I didn’t feel like I was brushing with dirt. I noticed a slight whiteness after the first try and I am sure as I use it more it will become more effective. Overall, I am very happy to have this product to use and kick the Crest Whitestrips goodbye!

I am SO happy to receive these samples from OSEA. They are a high-end vegan/cruelty-free brand and I have heard amazing things from their users. This moisturizer is very creamy, light, and dries matte so it makes for a good makeup primer too. I also didn’t find myself getting too oily by mid day which is pretty amazing for me. I am not fond of the scent but perhaps it will grow on me. All around very pleased with this product and excited to finally have something from this amazing brand!

And there you have it! The July Vegan Cuts Beauty Box was a great box for those interested in trying out smaller samples of products from different brands before committing to the full thing. The box itself values around $34 dollars and includes two full size items that are $23 total value so right off the bat you are getting more than the $19.95 you pay for the box. I am so thankful to have been introduced to Vegan Cuts and their awesome Beauty Boxes these last three months. I know I will be checking them out again in the near future and absolutely love the entire concept of a subscription service that brings you new vegan & cruelty-free brands every month. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend checking them out here.

If you have been a Vegan Cuts Beauty Box subscriber for some time now, which box do you feel was their best? Why was it your favorite? I would love to hear from you!

Note: The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a subscription box service for $19.95 a month. I have purchased this subscription myself and reviewed all products in my honest opinion.
