Hi there! Today I wanted to feature my favorite all purpose household cleaner from the amazing brand Common Good. 🙂
I first heard about this brand while shopping at West Elm during the early stages of my cruelty-free transition. I read the ingredients while in the store and was very confused when I saw common named animal ingredients although it said “plant-based” on the bottle. At that time, I didn’t really know much about plant or animal derived ingredients so I decided to go home and do some research before making the purchase. I went straight to the company itself and emailed them asking general questions about their cruelty-free stance and product ingredients. They responded back to me very quickly and notified me that all of their products are indeed vegan and cruelty-free. They are also a leaping bunny certified company which was nice to hear! They are family owned and work closely with their chemists and suppliers to ensure that all ingredients are reasonably sourced and not tested on animals during any stage of the process. They were also kind enough to point out some “red flag” ingredients that I may come across in their products and confirmed that they are all plant derived.
After receiving their email, I was thrilled with the responses and decided to go back to West Elm and purchase the “Sage Leaf All Purpose Cleaner” to test it out at home. I was suppper lucky because I actually scored the last bottle at a very nicely discounted price! I used it first on my bathroom sink and found that it smelled very refreshing; almost like Windex but with a hint of herbs. I liked that it still smelled clean and not too perfumey. It cleaned up the area very efficiently and picked up stubborn spots without a problem. Now I use this all of the time! It’s great in the kitchen and pretty much all over the house! I am so happy to have found a great vegan and cruelty-free cleaner that works just as well as the conventional ones.
Common Good has an array of household cleaning products but this is the first one that I have tried. I am so thrilled with this company that I am happy to continue supporting them and can’t wait to try out more! I am sad to say that “Sage Leaf” is no longer a scent option for the all purpose cleaner but it looks like they have other amazing scents too like Lavender and Tea Tree. West Elm currently has a big sale on these products or you can buy from the Common Good website directly. I highly recommend checking out this smaller brand and know you will find something you love!
Note: All products were purchased and reviewed honestly by me.
