Today I wanted to feature some of my favorite vegan & cruelty-free makeup brushes from EcoTools. If you haven’t heard about this brand before, you really need to check them out! They are sold in pretty much all major retailers like Ulta, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. All of their brushes are made from the softest synthetic bristles that apply makeup flawlessly. They also have smooth bamboo handles and recycled aluminum ferrules! These brushes are pretty amazing, in my opinion. I’m not someone that used makeup brushes often in the past, but I really can’t live without these now. They are so soft and very affordable!
Pictured above are my current favorites:
- Custom Coverage Buffing Brush– great for applying/smoothing out your powder foundation
- Eye Perfecting Brush– perfect for touching up or applying under eye concealer
- Eye Enhancing Duo Set Brushes– the only brushes you will ever need for any type of eye makeup application
- Stippling Brush– amazing for applying blushes, bronzers, or highlighters
I plan on adding to my EcoTools collection very soon and Ulta is currently running a buy one get one 50% off deal! Run! 😉 But in all seriousness, why continue buying brushes that are made out of animal hair? Doesn’t that gross you out? It definitely disgusts me. There are SO many amazing vegan & cruelty-free makeup brush options out there that work very well. Those that are more higher end (TooFaced, Sigma, etc.), and those that are more affordable (EcoTools, e.l.f., etc.). Choose cruelty-free!
I highly encourage all readers to go out and purchase just one synthetic brush from a cruelty-free company the next time you are in need. Remember to replace your brushes every few months and wash them weekly. Not only should you be conscious about the type of brushes you purchase, but also keeping them clean. If you use your brushes often, wash every few days to remove any bacteria build up that can cause skin problems. My favorite brush cleaner at the moment is the e.l.f. Studio Brush Shampoo.
