LUSH Faves

Hi everyone! So for my first blog post I wanted to feature some of my favorite products from LUSH! As you continue to read my blog, you will find that I absolutely LOVE this company. I have purchased all kinds of products from LUSH for many years now but most of these that I am sharing I find myself re-purchasing often.

So to start off, I want to talk about my all-time fave, BIG. This is a sea salt shampoo that really lives up to its name. If you have limp hair, or even hair like mine, which is thick and wavy, this stuff gives it a good volume boost. The smell is so so amazing and that is probably the main reason why I keep purchasing it, aside from the fact that it works great for my hair. It is made up of sea salt, coconut oil, seaweed, avocado butter, and citrus juices. I do not use this everyday because it does dry out my scalp a bit, but when I do use it, holy moly gorgeous shiny voluminous hair! It is even BETTER when paired with the BIG conditioner bar (not photographed above). Not to mention, this big tub lasted me from Christmas until this week.. so yeah.. totally worth what I paid for in my opinion.

Next up is R&B, Revive and Balance Hair Moisturizer. Guys, if you purchase just one thing out of what I review, this is it. This smells AMAZING and it lasts all day. It is more like an in-between of a mousse and a gel to me. It leaves a product “feel” in your hair and is best used for those days where you want to bring out your natural curls or a bit of a scrunch. I apply it right when I get out of the shower so it dries with my hair. It is super moisturizing from all of the oils, oatmeal, and avocado butter in it so a little bit goes a long way. In fact, I have had this jar for a long time and it still works just as great as when I first bought it. (Fun fact: all LUSH products have a label on them for when the product was packaged and when it should “expire”) The orange blossom and jasmine smell are simply divine. You need to check it out.

I am fairly new to LUSH’s scalp treatment “Superbalm” but I have tried pretty much all of their hair products for troubled scalp conditions (I have scalp psoriasis) and this one is probably the best (hair doctor is great too!). I apply this in my worst psoriasis areas before I take a shower and it really leaves my scalp very moisturized in that area for a good amount of time even after I have shampooed. It is packed with a lot of amazing oils, and has a clean refreshing scent. It is a bit messy to handle so that’s why it is best to put it on before you shower. This is great for those of you that have a dry scalp!

One of my new favorites is LUSH’s face cleanser, Herbalism. One of the hardest transitions for me when changing out my products to vegan and cruelty-free products was finding a good face cleanser. I have very sensitive skin that is oily and blemishes easily. The first time I used this, my skin felt so refreshed! It smells amazing to me, but I can see if others will need some time to get used to the herb-y smell. The almonds in the cleanser really work to exfoliate your skin, and if you want an even deeper clean, put a bit on your face brush and scrub (gently, of course). It is very moisturizing as well so it never dries out my skin. The only downside to this product is it expires fast because it is preservative-free and they do not offer a smaller size. All in all, I plan on using this for a while and recommend you check it out if you have oily/trouble skin.

The Emotional Brilliance Face Powder is pretty amazing. This is also something I am new too but I really like it so far. I use it as a setting powder when I am done with my makeup and it wipes up oils flawlessly. It is full of natural ingredients and doesn’t feel heavy on my face at all. The main downside, which everyone will agree that knows this product, is the packaging. There is a lot of powder in this small little jar and it creates a bit of a mess when you try and dip your brush in it. I recommend placing it in a larger jar you may have at home, or placing a shifter inside the jar so you do not waste too much. I really enjoy this product and can see myself purchasing it again after I run out.

Last but not least are the face moisturizer samples I was provided with. LUSH is always so amazing about giving you samples of products you have been wanting to try, all you have to do is ask! I am having a really hard time finding a good moisturizer for my skin that doesn’t make me breakout. I tried Enzymion and the Vanishing Cream for a few weeks and unfortunately, both made me breakout. If I did have to choose between the two, I felt Enzymion worked way better for my oily-ness especially in my T-Zone and it was the better smelling of the two. I will not be purchasing either of these moisturizers because they did not work for my skin, but I recommend you giving it a try with a sample first to see what it does for you. Enzymion is vegan, whereas the Vanishing Cream is not, so that could be a bummer for most.

There you have it! These are some of my favorites from LUSH that I highly recommend you try. I have tried various soaps/bath bombs from this company as well and I’m always pleased with those too. Keep a look out for future LUSH reviews! If you have any feedback, questions, or suggestions, please email me at or comment below!

Note: All products featured, with the exception of the vanishing cream moisturizer, are vegan. ALL products from LUSH are always 100% cruelty free! All of these products were purchased and reviewed honestly by me.

    1. All bath bombs are divine! I love the rose one. I have also used the Honey I Shrunk The Kids soap and loved that! It isn’t vegan though. I have heard great things about the ocean salt scrub too but haven’t used it myself yet. 🙂
